Ｊ１は１日、最終節の９試合を行い、鹿島が逆転で優勝を決めた。ここまで２位の鹿島はホームで清水と対戦。勝つ以外に優勝の可能性がない試合で、前半１９分に小笠原がＰＫを決めて先制。後半３分には本山、同１３分に マルキーニョスがそれぞれゴールを決めて３－０で快勝。リーグ戦終盤、新記録となる９連勝の爆発力で白星をつかみ、首位浦和の結果を待った。

Unbelievable!! Antlers had won the j-league!! It was the team's 10th title in domestic football which was won after urawa reds lost 1-0 to bottom team yokohama fc. Really happy for antlers which they truly deserved to be the champion! Thou u cant help but feeling sad for the asian clubs' champion for losing 2 games in a row to give away the title like this. Perhaps winning the asia's most pretigous club event is already enough for them.

Guess many will remember this day for many years to come. Well done antlers! It's not over yet.. now for the emperor cup! Gooo antlers!
